ABCâs of Salvation
A â ADMIT (Acknowledge) Admit honestly to God that you have sinned and disobeyed Him. Romans 3:23 â âFor all have sinned and fall short of the glory of Godâ Romans 6:23 â âFor the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.â Isaiah 53:6 â âAll of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.â James 2:10 â âFor whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.â Romans 3:10 â âas it is written, âThere is none righteous, not even oneââ John 16:8 and II Corinthians 7:10 â âAnd He (the Spirit), when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgmentâ (John 16:8) âFor the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.â (II Corinthians 7:10)
B â BELIEVE (Trust) Believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again. His blood was shed to pay for your sins. I Corinthians 15:3-4 â âFor I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scripturesâ Romans 5:8 â âBut God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.â John 3:16 â âFor God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.â Ephesians 2:8-9 â âFor by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.â
C â CHOOSE (CONFESS) Choose to trust Jesus alone for the forgiveness of your sins. Romans 10:13 â âfor âWhoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.ââ John 3:18 â âHe who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of Godâ. Acts 3:19 and Romans 10:9 â âTherefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lordâ (Romans 10:9) âthat if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be savedâ (Acts 3:19)
Conclusion: We can count on Him to keep His promises. âIf we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.â (I John 1:9)
Prayer of Salvation:
Dear Lord Jesus, I understand that I am a sinner and I ask You for forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins so that I could receive Your forgiveness and have eternal life. I ask You to come into my life right now and become my personal Savior. From this day forward, Lord, I give you control of my life. Make me a new person and help me to live for you. In Jesus Name, Amen.
