Through Abraham, the people who were brought into covenant relationship with God were also to be His testimony upon the earth. God told Abraham, "I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you," and "you will be blessed, so that you can be a blessing." As we read through the Old Testaments we have to keep this covenant in our mind, otherwise the "Love of God," can be very misunderstood. In this lesson we do some summarizations of Isaac and Jacob, and then look pretty closely at Joseph, and start the story of Moses, and his calling by God to go and set His people free. Then, as is also now, it is a continual contest between the true and living God and a pretender.
